New York
On November 12th 2009 the first book ‘Lighting Sculptures’ from Dutch design studio BRAND VAN EGMOND had it’s international launch at the beautiful Trespa Design Centre in Soho, New York. The event took place during the New York art & culture event ‘5 Dutch Days’, in the year that the Netherlands and New York celebrated NY400.
Guests and international press gathered at the Trespa Design Centre to attend the book presentation. The book was officially handed over to Mr. David McFadden, Chief Curator and Vice President of the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, who joined BRAND VAN EGMOND in the presentation.
Nowadays the BRAND VAN EGMOND lighting objects light up many projects in New York... SAKS 5th Avenue, Chopard store at Madison Avenue and the Gansevoort Hotel in the Meatpacking District are only a few examples.
