United Business Magazine, SR, published Hollywood Conical Chandelier in an article about the house of the future built by Ronny Tjon A Koy. Flower Power Lighting Sculpture, 2005

Using the last laser cutting techniques to cut flowery sensual shapes out of steel plates, Flower Power is a wonderful rendez-vous between handmade and high-tech. All this is combined with especially designed glass drops, that evoke the idea of circles.

The traditional Dutch hotel 'Stadehuys' in Stavoren selected the Candles and Spirits (with black Swarovski crystals!) and Hollywood to complete the interior of the typically Dutch rooms. The Hollywood chandelier in the bathrooms, one of the first chandeliers by BRAND VAN EGMOND, shines its lights, using real candles.

the palace and its park have been restored to their former grandeur.

On the 25th of April Her Majesty Queen Beatrix will open an exhibition of great contemporary Dutch design in combination with beautiful ancient artefacts from Holland at a total restored Oranienbaum palace.

After more than 20 years of developing and producing own designs, Dutch lighting design studio BRAND VAN EGMOND is now striving for becoming a platform in the creative industry. Founders William Brand and Annet van Egmond developed an out of the box vision, focussed on sharing their passion for lighting sculptures with other designers, artists, fashion designers and architects. Therefore, they have invited external designers to come up with a new distinctive design for their 2011 collection.

As a result, BRAND VAN EGMOND is proud to announce the new cooperation with Richard Hutten! For the 2011 collection, Richard Hutten designed an exiting lighting object… minimalistic yet decorative…. stylish yet frisky and sexy… the way we like it!

Both Richard Hutten and BRAND VAN EGMOND have a Dutch background and are active in the international design industry. After having met on several places worldwide, from Tokyo to New York, BRAND VAN EGMOND decided to shine its light on him and join forces.Richard Hutten (1967) graduated at the Academy Industrial Design Eindhoven in 1991. That same year he started his own designstudio, working on a variety of projects such as furniture-, product-, interior- and exhibition design. He is one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers; a key exponent of ‘Droog Design’, in which he has been involved since its inception in 1993.

Close friends dinner party, February 2012.

ELLE Decoration party at Monday the 16th of January. Chistine Burg and Sabine Nedelschef organized a beautiful dinner party in a wonderful location in Cologne!

Annet van Egmond has designed a new wallcovering collection called Diamonds are Forever for the Dutch company BN International. For them she worked as an artdirector designing the new wallcovering collection. BN International will present this new collection at the Heimtextil trade fair 2012 in Frankfurt, from January 11th until January 14th. During this fair, lighting sculpture Hollywood will be shown, which is a fundamental part of the designs.
