Annet van Egmond has designed a new wallcovering collection called Diamonds are Forever for the Dutch company BN International. For them she worked as an artdirector designing the new wallcovering collection. BN International will present this new collection at the Heimtextil trade fair 2012 in Frankfurt, from January 11th until January 14th. During this fair, lighting sculpture Hollywood will be shown, which is a fundamental part of the designs.

At the Millionaire Fair 2011 the exclusive and limited edition collection of BRANDVANEGMOND® in cooperation with GASSAN will be launched. The result of this collaboration is an exclusive Haute Jewellery Collection made of 18 carat white and yellow gold with the signature of BRANDVANEGMOND® lighting studio and set with the patented Gassan 121 cut diamond.
The collection consists of two lines with the titles Hollywood and Crystal Waters. Both lines are inspired by the lamps of collections from of BRANDVANEGMOND® respectively dating 1996 (Hollywood) and 1999 (Crystal Waters).
At the stand of Gassan during the Millionaire Fair 2011 this exclusive collection can be admired. Each design consists of only 10 pieces, anniversary of the Millionaire Fair.

Moscow Design week – the most important annual design event in Russia, organized by ART TRADING Group, recently started this week till the 16th October 2011. Intense program of MDW 2011 is dedicated to Design in an extended sense: starting from product-, fashion- and graphic- design to the latest developments in architecture. After more than 20 years of developing and producing own designs, Dutch lighting design studio BRAND VAN EGMOND is now striving for becoming a platform in the creative industry. Founders William Brand and Annet van Egmond developed an out of the box vision, focussed on sharing their passion for lighting sculptures with other designers, artists, fashion designers and architects. Therefore, they have invited external designers to come up with a new distinctive design for their 2011 collection.
As a result, BRAND VAN EGMOND is proud to announce the new cooperation with Richard Hutten! For the 2011 collection, Richard Hutten designed an exiting lighting object… minimalistic yet decorative…. stylish yet frisky and sexy… the way we like it!
Both Richard Hutten and BRAND VAN EGMOND have a Dutch background and are active in the international design industry. After having met on several places worldwide, from Tokyo to New York, BRAND VAN EGMOND decided to shine its light on him and join forces.
Richard Hutten (1967) graduated at the Academy Industrial Design Eindhoven in 1991. That same year he started his own designstudio, working on a variety of projects such as furniture-, product-, interior- and exhibition design. He is one of the most internationally successful Dutch designers; a key exponent of ‘Droog Design’, in which he has been involved since its inception in 1993.

For them she worked as an artdirector designing the new wallcovering collection. BN International will present this new collection at the Heimtextil trade fair 2011 in Frankfurt, from January 12th until January 15th. During this fair, the new collection will be been shown to the public for the first time.
On Tuesday 7 December, the Dutch Ministry of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation is hosting the 2010 Innovation Lecture. The historic Knight’s Hall (Ridderzaal) in The Hague forms the unique setting for this annual event, which highlights the importance of innovation for a sustainable and enterprising Netherlands.
The theme of the 10th Annual Innovation Lecture is the 'Asian Challenge'. In recent years, innovation has taken off in China, India, Japan, Singapore, South Korea, Malaysia, and Taiwan. What can we learn from these countries' approaches to innovation and how can we make the most of Asia's innovative developments?
Two inspiring international figures will be speaking: Professor Yoko Ishikura from Japan will cover the challenges Asia presents to innovative parties in the Netherlands from a scientific perspective. Businessman Sam Pitroda from India will outline the importance of these developments for businesses.
Annet van Egmond is attending this event and participating to the discussion as a Committee Member. BRAND VAN EGMOND's Lighting Objects can already be found in several boutiques and showrooms in Shanghai and Beijing. Our Asian Challenge is to find good distributors in new areas such as Japan, Vietnam, and India.
At the end of October, BRAND VAN EGMOND will have a special exhibition at the Meesterlijk Design and Craft Fair in Eindhoven, the Netherlands. The passion William and Annet share for both handcrafted sculptures and design will form the central theme of this presentation.
The Meesterlijk Design and Craft Fair is part of the Dutch Design week in Eindhoven.
On Saturday the 30th of October (14.00 - 15.00) Annet van Egmond and initiator Nicole Uniquole will give a lecture about craft and design in the Netherlands in de Kleine Zaal (Klokgebouw 50, Hal 4 - entresol, Eindhoven, NL).
The fair strives to strengthen the bond between modern design and craftsmanship. At the fair designers and manufacturers of handmade products will be standing shoulder to shoulder with the practitioners of traditional crafts, such as glassblowing and woodcarving.

For them she worked as an artdirector designing the new wallcovering collection. BN International has presented this new collection at the Heimtextil trade fair 2010 in Frankfurt, from January 13th until January 16th. During this fair, the new collection has been shown to the public for the first time.
On November 12th the first BRAND VAN EGMOND book ‘Lighting Sculptures’ has successfully and internationally been launched at the beautiful Trespa Design Centre in Soho, New York. Press and other relations were present and received the first copies of the book. Special thanks go to David McFadden, Chief Curator and Vice President of the Museum of Arts & Design in New York, who joined Annet van Egmond in the presentation. The new book is now available in bookstores worldwide.
During the Woonbeurs on Monday, 28th of September, at a joint presentation of BRAND VAN EGMOND and Philips the new art book 'Lighting Sculptures' of BRAND VAN EGMOND was handed out to Allard Bijlsma, CEO of Philips Consumer Luminaires. The book was presented to the national press and to special guests. After the presentation all the guests got a free copy of the book ‘Lighting Sculptures’ from BRAND VAN EGMOND. The guests also had a chance to win a free exclusive lighting sculpture called COCO from the new collection of BRAND VAN EGMOND. The winner of the COCO is: Lisette Billekens of Billekens Licht en Advies in Nuenen During the Stylists Day on the 28th of September, stylists could win a steel rose of from the La Vie en Rose collection of BRAND VAN EGMOND. The winner is of the steel rose is: Karin van der Meer from Enjoy Inhouse Design Congratulations!

To celebrate the 20 year anniversary BRAND VAN EGMOND has composed an art book called ‘BRAND VAN EGMOND Lighting Sculptures’. This private album gives an overview of 20 years of passion, inspiration and artistic design. The book shows the artistic development of William Brand and Annet van Egmond, from the early start until now. This personal album gives insight into their methods of working, inspirations, motivations and passions. It is a beautifully illustrated book about the world and work of the two passionate artists, with the central theme: light is emotion. On November 12th the book ‘Lighting Sculptures’ will have it’s international launch in the Trespa Design Centre in Soho, New York, during the New York art & culture event ‘5 Dutch Days'.
